Front of Mind expansion prompts recruitment drive

Digital agency Front of Mind has appointed four senior recruits – including a new Head of Creative – to enhance its offering and meet the needs of its expanding business.

Kenneth Kawamoto, former Head Designer at The Hub, joins Front of Mind as Head of Creative, a new post at the fast-growing agency. Kawamoto has designed websites and developed multimedia solutions for a string of major clients – among them National Express, Tesco, Vodafone and the BBC – as well as working with sculptor Anthony Gormley on projects including his iconic Angel of the North.

Kawamoto, a former interactive designer at Diverse Productions, said: “I’m delighted to be joining Front of Mind at such an exciting time for the company, and look forward to helping it grow further.”

Accompanying Kawamoto in the Front of Mind studio is new Senior Web Designer Paul Kennedy, who joins from Dublin-based Continuum Technologies, and Senior Web Developer Martin Shopland, who is taking a staff post after running his own successful interactive design and e-commerce company.

Also joining Front of Mind is Binal Shah, former online telecoms analyst at price comparison site uSwitch. Shah, who managed the broadband, digital TV, and telephony product portfolio at uSwitch, joins Front of Mind as Digital Account Manager. Welcoming Kawamoto, Kennedy, Shopland and Shah to Front of Mind, Managing Director Graham Lovelace, who took up his post in October, said: “These appointments further strengthen the incredibly talented Front of Mind team and allow us to offer new services to clients.”
