Accessibility
In this section, you can learn about the various features that A&N Media Marketing Services has used to make this site and its content accessible to as many users as possible:
Accessibility Features
A&N Media Marketing Services is committed in its approach to focusing on real people facing real access issues, rather than concentrating exclusively on strict compliance with technical standards. This section outlines some of the accessibility features that we have provided to help make our website available to the greatest possible number of internet users, as well as guidance on how to use them. Please refer to your web browser and operating system 'Help' manual for their additional accessibility features.
W3C Standards compliance
This site was built to achieve priority levels 1 & 2 (WCAG 1 – Double A) of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines, part of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
This was achieved using code compliant with W3C standards for XHTML and CSS. This will help the site display correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant XHTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly.
A&N Media Marketing Services web content publishers will strive to maintain these standards employing best practice techniques where certain Priority 1/2 checkpoints have become outdated.
Adjustable text size
The text across the site has been set to relative sizes that can be increased or decreased for more comfortable screen reading. This can be done easily using your browser. A couple of ways of doing this are listed below:
- Internet Explorer View > Text Size. You can also use Tools > Internet options > Accessibility
- Firefox View > Text Size > Increase Font, or use the keyboard shortcut by pressing Control and +.
- Opera View > Preferences > Fonts then change Minimum Font Size
- Safari Safari > Preferences > Advanced then select minimum font size to display

Those with their own screen reading software should find that it works well on frontofmind.co.uk.
Even if you don't have your own software, a free service can be used to read frontofmind.co.uk aloud to you, under your control. Anyone can use the service, which is provided by Browsealoud.
Design
The A&N Media Marketing Services site has been optimized to be viewed at a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 within the following browsers and their corresponding newer versions:
- Internet Explorer 6
- Firefox 1.0
- Opera 8.0
- Safari 2.0
The pages are not based on frames and can be printed easily by clicking on the 'Printable version' button present on every page of the website.
CSS
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) have been used to control the presentation of pages and properly structured mark-up has been used for content. For a full explanation of the accessibility benefits of this see "Why using CSS improves accessibility"
If stylesheets are not supported or are turned off, all information on the site can still be accessed and read.
Navigation
The site’s navigation is provided in text for improved readability.
The navigation has been designed to be as user-friendly as possible, allowing all site content to be viewed within the minimum number of mouse clicks. It is also possible to access the content pages of the site by using the 'Search' function.
Images
All informational images will contain relevant alternative text. Where images contain important information, such as graphs and charts, alternative information is provided in the form of inline descriptions or tabular data.
